Why Should I shoot HD ?
Because it looks incredibly good, even when presented on the web. Even the web doesn't mean low resolution anymore. There are many websites deliering HD video right to your computer everyday at very reasonable file sizes. So is there any reason to be shooting in SD ?
Doesn't HD Cost a lot more ?
No ! the cost is the same. So why shoot in SD with inferior quality when you can have superior HD imagery for the same price ?
What if I'm delivering to the web or SD TV ?
Shoot HD with the best quality, then output to whatever you need. The quality of SD TV projects, DVD's, or web will be amazingly better.
HD is also future proofing your investment. Even if you aren't delivering in HD today, if the footage has any future value having it in HD will prove to be a smart investement.
